Virginia High School Basketball - Dan River trounced by Gretna

The Dan River Wildcats basketball squad (Ringgold, VA), was crushed 69-47 in Friday's league battle with the host Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA)

With the victory, Gretna advances its record to 11-7 on the year. The Hawks travel to Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA) to meet the Eagles in a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 5. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 17-0.

The Wildcats now own a 1-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tunstall for a non-league battle on Monday, February 3. Dan River will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 61-23 league loss to Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-11.
