Iowa High School Basketball - Mason City holds off Decorah-North Winneshiek

The Mason City Mohawks basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings to 38 in the Mohawks non-league triumph on Friday.
The Mohawks now possess a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Waverly-Shell Rock for a non-league game on Friday, January 31. Mason City will confront a Go-Hawks team coming off a 49-40 non-league win over Forest City (Forest City, IA). The Go-Hawks record now stands at 15-3.
With the loss, Decorah-North Winneshiek falls to 9-8 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Waukon (Waukon, IA) to confront the Indians in a Northeast Iowa game on Friday, January 31. The Indians go into the game with a record of 12-5. Waukon won 55-24 in their recent non-league game against Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA)
