The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Science Hill Hilltoppers (Johnson City, TN) and the visiting Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN), observed Science Hill's basketball team overcome Dobyns-Bennett by a margin of 54-37.

The Hilltoppers (13-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Greeneville (Greeneville, TN). The Greene Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 13-9 record. In their last challenge, Greeneville defeated Claiborne (New Tazewell, TN), 53-31, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Daniel Boone Trailblazers (Gray, TN) in a 4A District 1 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Dobyns-Bennett will attempt to better on its 7-12 season record. The Trailblazers come into the challenge with a 10-12 record after their 91-65 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC).
