With the victory, East Carteret advances its record to 2-12 on the year. The Mariners host Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC) to face the Hurricanes in a 1A/2A Coastal Plains match on Tuesday, February 4. The Hurricanes enter the match with a record of 17-3. Pamlico County lost 61-33 in their recent league match against Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC)

The Trojans now own a 1-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northside - Pinetown for a 1A/2A Coastal Plains match on Tuesday, February 4. Jones will face a Panthers squad coming off a 61-33 league win over Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 17-1.
