The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Franklin Quakers (Portland, OR) and the visiting McDaniel Mountain Lions (Portland, OR), observed Franklin's basketball team overwhelm McDaniel by a score of 51-10.

The Quakers (2-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Jefferson (Portland, OR). The Democrats come into the 6A Portland challenge with a 19-1 record. In their last challenge, Jefferson trounced Grant (Portland, OR), 72-28, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mountain Lions encounter the Benson Tech Astros (Portland, OR) in a 6A Portland challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. McDaniel will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Astros come into the challenge with a 13-3 record after their 101-19 league win over Roosevelt (Portland, OR).
