The Hale Center Owls basketball team scored 85 points and limited the host Lockney Longhorns to 35 in the Owls league triumph on Friday.

The Owls now possess a 17-9 record. They play next when they host Sudan for a 2A Region I District 3 game on Tuesday, February 4. Hale Center will confront a Hornets team coming off a 51-46 league loss to Olton (Olton, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 16-9.

With the loss, Lockney falls to 3-20 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Bovina (Bovina, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a 2A Region I District 3 game on Tuesday, February 4. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 6-20. Bovina lost 91-24 in their recent league game against Farwell (Farwell, TX)
