Leyden Eagles (Franklin Park, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Hinsdale South Hornets (Darien, IL), 47-45 in a league match.
With the victory, Leyden upgrades its record to 20-8 on the year. The Eagles travel to Downers Grove South (Downers Grove, IL) to face the Mustangs in a West Suburban - Gold match on Tuesday, February 4. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 14-13.
The Hornets now sport a 11-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glenbard South for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. Hinsdale South will face a Raiders squad coming off a 57-14 league win over Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 23-2.
