In Friday's league test, the Scott Beavers (Scott City, KS) basketball squad trounced the visiting Hugoton Eagles (Hugoton, KS), by a score of 41-17.

Next, the Beavers clash with the Holcomb Longhorns (Holcomb, KS) in a Great Western test, on Tuesday, February 4. Scott will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Longhorns come into the test with a 11-3 record after their 61-37 league win over Hugoton (Hugoton, KS).

The Eagles (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Cimarron (Cimarron, KS). The Bluejays come into the Great Western test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Cimarron bounced Southwestern Heights (Kismet, KS), 46-38, in a non-league test.
