Ohio High School Basketball - Independence nips Walnut Ridge

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Independence 76ers basketball team scored a close 43-37 win over the Walnut Ridge Scots.

The 76ers (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Westerville Central (Westerville, OH). The Warhawks come into the non-league contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Westerville Central was tipped by Grove City (Grove City, OH), 52-39, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Scots battle the Thomas Worthington CARDINALS (Worthington, OH) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 3. Walnut Ridge will attempt to better on its 9-10 season record. The CARDINALS come into the contest with a 4-13 record after their 58-32 league loss to Olentangy Berlin (Delaware, OH).
