The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM) and the visiting Jal Panthers (Jal, NM), observed Texico's basketball team overwhelm Jal by a score of 56-20.

The Wolverines (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Tatum (Tatum, NM). The Coyotes come into the 2A District 4 challenge with a 14-4 record. In their last challenge, Tatum trounced Eunice (Eunice, NM), 47-24, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Hagerman Bobcats (Hagerman, NM) in a 2A District 4 challenge, on Monday, February 3. Jal will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record.
