In Friday's league contest, the host Lumpkin County Indians basketball team scored a big 64-13 triumph over the Johnson Knights.

The Indians (8-15) will now prepare for their contest against Chestatee (Gainesville, GA). The War Eagles go into the AAA Region 6 contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, Chestatee smashed Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA), 40-31, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) in a AAA Region 6 contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Johnson will attempt to better on its 0-19 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 20-2 record after their 54-48 league win over White County (Cleveland, GA).
