In Friday's league contest, the host Lanesboro Burros basketball team scored a close 61-55 triumph over the Southland Rebels.
The Burros (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against St. Charles (St. Charles, MN). The Fighting Saints go into the non-league contest with a 4-16 record.
In their next game, the Rebels battle the Osage Green Devils (Osage, IA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Southland will attempt to better on its 13-7 season record. The Green Devils go into the contest with a 7-9 record after their 49-21 non-league loss to Nashua-Plainfield (Nashua, IA).
