Nebraska High School Basketball - Silver Lake thwarts Lawrence-Nelson

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Silver Lake Mustangs (Roseland, NE) and the host Lawrence-Nelson Raiders (Nelson, NE), observed Silver Lake's basketball team knock off Lawrence-Nelson by a score of 38-22.

The Mustangs (14-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Shelton (Shelton, NE). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 17-1 record. In their last challenge, Shelton prevailed over Blue Hill (Blue Hill, NE), 49-23, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Raiders encounter the Harvard Cardinals (Harvard, NE) in a D2 District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Lawrence-Nelson will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 0-17 record after their 34-31 non-league loss to Elba (Elba, NE).
