In Friday's league contest, the visiting Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers basketball team scored a big 66-28 triumph over the Medford Tigers.
The Buccaneers (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva (New Richland, MN). The Panthers go into the AA Section 2 contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva smashed United South Central (Wells, MN), 67-33, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Bulldogs (Janesville, MN) in a AA Section 2 contest, on Sunday, February 2. Medford will attempt to better on its 0-20 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 19-2 record after their 86-63 league win over St. Clair (St. Clair, MN).
