The Northside - Pinetown Panthers basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Southside Seahawks to 44 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.
The Panthers now possess a 16-1 record. They play next when they host Pamlico County for a 1A/2A Coastal Plains game on Monday, February 3. Northside - Pinetown will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 61-49 non-league win over Greene Central (Snow Hill, NC). The Hurricanes record now stands at 17-2.
With the loss, Southside falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Seahawks travel to Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC) to confront the Devil Pups in a 1A/2A Coastal Plains game on Tuesday, February 4. The Devil Pups go into the game with a record of 2-14. Lejeune lost 64-20 in their recent league game against Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC)
