North Carolina High School Basketball - Polk County triumphant over R-S Central

January 31, 2025: Columbus, NC 28722

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) and the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), observed Polk County's basketball team overwhelm R-S Central by a margin of 58-18.

The Wolverines (17-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chase (Forest City, NC). The Trojans come into the 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 challenge with a 3-16 record.

In their next game, the Hilltoppers battle the Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. R-S Central will attempt to better on its 5-14 season record.
