In Friday's league contest, the visiting Regina Regals basketball team scored a big 72-37 triumph over the West Branch Bears.
The Regals (17-2) will now prepare for their contest against Solon (Solon, IA). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Solon was trounced by Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA), 57-53, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bears battle the Keokuk Chiefs (Keokuk, IA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 3. West Branch will attempt to better on its 3-14 season record. The Chiefs go into the contest with a 15-3 record after their 69-28 non-league win over Central Lee (Donnellson, IA).
