The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA) and the visiting William Monroe Dragons (Stanardsville, VA), observed Broadway's basketball team knock off William Monroe by a score of 32-15.
The Gobblers (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Staunton (Staunton, VA). The Storm come into the non-league challenge with a 15-1 record. In their last challenge, Staunton prevailed over Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA), 48-7, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Dragons encounter the Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. William Monroe will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record.
