Virginia High School Basketball - Dan River bests Gretna

The Dan River Wildcats basketball team scored 35 points and limited the host Gretna Hawks to 22 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now possess a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Tunstall for a non-league game on Monday, February 3. Dan River will play a Trojans team coming off a 72-8 non-league loss to Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 1-11.

With the loss, Gretna falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Wednesday, February 5. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 4-6. Prince Edward County lost 24-10 in their recent non-league game against Buckingham (Buckingham, VA)
