In Friday's league outing, the visiting Athens Hornets soccer squad scored a nice 8-0 victory over the Van Vandals.

The Hornets (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Grand Saline (Grand Saline, TX). The Indians go into the 4A Region 2 District 14 outing with a 2-5 record. In their last outing, Grand Saline was overwhelmed by Brownsboro (Brownsboro, TX), 14-6, in a league outing.

Next up, the Vandals play the Cumberland Academy Knights (Tyler, TX) in a 4A Region 2 District 14 outing, on Tuesday, February 4. Van will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Knights go into the outing with a 0-6 record after their 8-0 league loss to Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX).
