The Colorado Academy Mustangs ice hockey team scored 6 points and held the visiting Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks to 3 in the Mustangs league victory on Friday.

The Mustangs now own a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Standley Lake for a 4A North bout on Saturday, February 1. Colorado Academy will encounter a Gators team coming off a 5-5 non-league Grandview (Aurora, CO). The Gators record now stands at 6-6.

With the defeat, Cheyenne Mountain moves to 8-6 on the season. The Red-tailed hawks travel to Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, CO) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, February 7. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Valor Christian lost 1-0 in their recent non-league bout against Poudre School District (Fort Collins, CO)
