The Bear Grass Charter Bears basketball team scored 40 points and limited the visiting Cape Hatteras Hurricanes to 24 in the Bears non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bears now have a 11-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ocracoke for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. Bear Grass Charter will confront a Dolphins team coming off a 27-25 non-league win over Columbia (Columbia, NC). The Dolphins record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Cape Hatteras falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Mattamuskeet (Swan Quarter, NC) to confront the Lakers in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. The Lakers go into the game with a record of 0-3.
