In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Broadway Gobblers basketball team scored a good 50-37 triumph over the William Monroe Dragons.
The Gobblers (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against East Rockingham (Elkton, VA). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, East Rockingham was topped by Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA), 42-37, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Dragons battle the Covenant Christian Academy Golden Eagles (Warrenton, VA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 3. William Monroe will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the contest with a 4-9 record after their 50-17 league loss to Fairfax Christian (Dulles, VA).
