In Friday's non-league contest, the host Turner Ashby Knights basketball team scored a close 42-37 triumph over the East Rockingham Eagles.
The Knights (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA). The Blue Streaks go into the contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Harrisonburg was tipped by Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA), 66-18, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 7. East Rockingham will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record. The Gobblers go into the contest with a 6-11 record after their 50-37 non-league win over William Monroe (Stanardsville, VA).
