The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) and the visiting East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC), observed South Stokes's basketball team overwhelm East Wilkes by a score of 71-42.
The Sauras (11-0) will now prepare for their challenge against East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 4-15 record. In their last challenge, East Surry was routed by Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC), 61-57, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cardinals encounter the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. East Wilkes will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record.
