In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Pine Forest Trojans basketball team scored a close 41-40 triumph over the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls.
The Trojans (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Triton (Erwin, NC). The Hawks go into the non-league contest with a 12-2 record. In their last contest, Triton nipped Western Harnett (Lillington, NC), 85-42, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Golden Bulls battle the Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 4. E.E. Smith will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 2-12 record after their 85-42 non-league loss to Triton (Erwin, NC).
