The Monterey Plainsmen basketball team scored 42 points and limited the visiting Lubbock-Cooper Pirates to 40 in the Plainsmen league triumph on Friday.

The Plainsmen now have a 11-8 record. They play next when they travel to Palo Duro for a game on Tuesday, February 4.
