The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC) and the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), observed North Brunswick's basketball team overcome South Brunswick by a score of 72-61.
The Scorpions (11-7) will now prepare for their challenge against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 10-1 record. In their last challenge, New Hanover defeated Ashley (Wilmington, NC), 45-26, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. South Brunswick will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record.
