The Lakeville South Cougars basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Rosemount Irish to 55 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Prior Lake for a AAAA Section 2 contest on Thursday, January 6. Lakeville South will battle a Lakers team coming off a 76-57 league loss to Shakopee (Shakopee, MN). The Lakers record now stands at 3-5.

Next up, the Irish play the Farmington Tigers (Farmington, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 6. Rosemount will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 86-44 non-league win over Apple Valley (Apple Valley, MN).
