The Marshall Tigers (Marshall, MN) basketball nipped the visiting Luverne Cardinals (Luverne, MN), 50-46 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Tigers (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Pipestone (Pipestone, MN). The Arrows go into the non-league test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Pipestone got by Murray County Central (Slayton, MN), 60-45, in a non-league test.
The Cardinals now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Windom for a AA Section 3 test on Friday, January 7. Luverne will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 65-61 non-league win over Westbrook-Walnut Grove (Westbrook, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 2-4.
