In Tuesday's non-league outing, the R.A. Hubbard Chiefs (Courtland, AL) basketball squad beat the visiting Sheffield Bulldogs (Sheffield, AL), by a count of 52-38.
The Chiefs (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against Covenant Christian (Tuscumbia, AL). The Eagles go into the 1A Area 16 outing with a 13-4 record. In their last outing, Covenant Christian was topped by Belgreen (Russellville, AL), 47-40, in a non-league outing.
The Bulldogs now hold a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Mars Hill Bible for a 2A Area 16 outing on Friday, January 14.
