West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Shasta Wolves (Redding, CA), 51-33 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, West Valley upgrades its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Yreka (Yreka, CA) to play the Miners in a bout on Friday, January 7. The Miners come into the bout with a record of 1-2.

Next up, the Wolves play the Pleasant Valley Vikings (Chico, CA) in a bout, on Thursday, January 6. Shasta will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 61-46 non-league win over University Prep (Redding, CA).
