The Crystal Lake South Gators basketball team (Crystal Lake, IL), was nudged 40-37 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Cary-Grove Trojans (Cary, IL)
The Trojans now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central for a Fox Valley battle on Friday, January 7. Cary-Grove will battle a Rockets team coming off a 56-26 league win over Jacobs (Algonquin, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 9-6.
The Gators (2-9) will now prepare for their battle against Huntley (Huntley, IL). The Red Raiders come into the Fox Valley battle with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, Huntley edged McHenry (McHenry, IL), 65-24, in a league battle.
