The Buena Chiefs basketball team (Buena, NJ), was overwhelmed 68-35 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Absegami Braves (Galloway, NJ)
The Braves now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cedar Creek for a Cape/Atlantic - National battle on Saturday, January 7. Absegami will battle a Pirates team coming off a 64-59 league win over Atlantic County Institute of Tech (Mays Landing, NJ). The Pirates record now stands at 5-5.
The Chiefs (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Bridgeton (Bridgeton, NJ). The Bulldogs come into the Cape/Atlantic - United battle with a 1-7 record. In their last battle, Bridgeton was overwhelmed by Millville (Millville, NJ), 83-74, in a league battle.
