Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Harrisonburg Blue Streaks (Harrisonburg, VA), 58-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Albemarle upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Patriots host Monticello (Charlottesville, VA) to clash with the Mustangs in a Jefferson bout on Friday, January 6. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Monticello lost 53-51 in their recent non-league bout against Park View (Sterling, VA)

Next up, the Blue Streaks clash with the Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA) in a Valley bout, on Friday, January 6. Harrisonburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 57-53 non-league win over Salem (Salem, VA).
