Indiana High School Basketball - Alexandria-Monroe ripped by Pendleton Heights

The Pendleton Heights Arabians basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Alexandria-Monroe Tigers to 39 in the Arabians non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Arabians now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elwood for a non-league contest on Friday, January 6. Pendleton Heights will battle a Panthers team coming off a 46-44 non-league win over Anderson Prep Academy (Anderson, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 4-6.
The Tigers (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Anderson Prep Academy (Anderson, IN). The Jets enter the non-league contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, Anderson Prep Academy was routed by Elwood (Elwood, IN), 46-44, in a non-league contest.
Fourth Quarter
The Arabians jumped out to a huge lead in the first quarter and never looked back as Pendleton Heights beat the Alexandria Tigers in the second round of the Madison County tournament. For the game, the Arabians hit 79% of their field goals, 50 % from the three point line and 61% from the free throw line. Kind of hard to beat someone that shoots the ball that well. Three Arabians scored in double figures with Evan Mozingo leading the way with 21 points. He was followed by Dontrez Braxton and Aaron Cookston each with 11. Isaac Wilson and Josiah Gustin each chipped in 6 with Caden Sims and Brayden Kanitz with 3. Reese Caplinger hit both of his free throws for 2 points. Aaron Cookston led all rebounders with 5. Seven other Arabians pulled down rebounds as well. Next up for the Arabians is the final round this Friday against the Elwood Panthers.
