The Bath County Chargers basketball team (Hot Springs, VA), was nudged 40-38 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Craig County Rockets (New Castle, VA)

The Rockets now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Narrows for a Pioneer battle on Tuesday, January 10. Craig County will battle a Green Waves team coming off a 71-40 league win over Highland (Monterey, VA). The Green Waves record now stands at 9-3.

The Chargers (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Covington (Covington, VA). The Cougars come into the Pioneer battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Covington was nudged by Alleghany (Covington, VA), 84-42, in a non-league battle.
