The Conway Wampus Cats basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Little Rock Southwest Gryphons to 46 in the Wampus Cats league triumph on Wednesday.
The Wampus Cats now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Little Rock for a 6A Central contest on Saturday, January 7. Conway will meet a Charging Wildcats team coming off a 55-49 league loss to Central (Little Rock, AR). The Charging Wildcats record now stands at 9-4.
The Gryphons (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Cabot (Cabot, AR). The Panthers enter the 6A Central contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Cabot was outscored by Jonesboro (Jonesboro, AR), 58-43, in a league contest.
