The Dallas Mountaineers basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Wyoming Valley West Spartans to 45 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mountaineers now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Berwick for a Wyoming Valley 1 contest on Friday, January 6. Dallas will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 57-42 league loss to Hazleton Area (Hazleton, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-5.

The Spartans (0-8) will now prepare for their contest against Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes-Barre, PA). The enter the Wyoming Valley 1 contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Wilkes-Barre triumphed over Hanover Area (Hanover Township, PA), 55-54, in a non-league contest.
