San Pedro Pirates (San Pedro, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Eagle Rock Eagles (Los Angeles, CA), 72-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, San Pedro upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Pirates travel to Verdugo Hills (Tujunga, CA) to play the Dons in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Dons go into the bout with a record of 8-10. Verdugo Hills lost 84-74 in their recent non-league bout against Dorsey (Los Angeles, CA)

Next up, the Eagles play the South Pasadena Tigers (South Pasadena, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Eagle Rock will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 70-66 league win over Monrovia (Monrovia, CA).
