Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Hodgdon Hawks (Hodgdon, ME) and the visiting Easton Bears (Easton, ME), saw Hodgdon's basketball squad knock off Easton by a tally of 48-40.

With the victory, Hodgdon improves its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME) to play the Warriors in a C North challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 6-1.

Next up, the Bears play the Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Easton will attempt to improve on its 7-1 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 58-44 non-league win over Wisdom (St. Agatha, ME).
