The Gilbert Yellowjackets basketball team (Winsted, CT), was nudged 50-45 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Thomaston Bears (Thomaston, CT)
The Bears now sport a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Terryville for a Berkshire battle on Friday, January 6. Thomaston will battle a Kangaroos team coming off a 68-56 league loss to Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT). The Kangaroos record now stands at 1-4.
The Yellowjackets (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT). The Highlanders come into the Berkshire battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Northwestern Regional was nudged by Wamogo (Litchfield, CT), 63-47, in a non-league battle.
