In Wednesday's non-league match, the host New Hope Trojans basketball team scored a decisive 92-63 triumph over the West Lowndes Panthers.
In their next game, the Trojans meet the Columbus Falcons (Columbus, MS) in a 5A Region 1 match, on Friday, January 6. New Hope will attempt to move on its 9-5 season record. The Falcons enter the match with a 9-6 record after their 58-51 league loss to Saltillo (Saltillo, MS).
With the defeat, West Lowndes moves to 8-8 on the year. The Panthers travel to Noxubee County (Macon, MS) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-4.
