The Newberry Academy basketball team (Newberry, SC), was nudged 44-38 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Whitmire Wolverines (Whitmire, SC)
The Wolverines now possess a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind for a A Region 2 battle on Thursday, January 5.
The (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against King Academy (Batesburg, SC). The Knights come into the SCISA A Region IV battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, King Academy was nudged by Greenwood Christian (Greenwood, SC), 52-38, in a non-league battle.
