Maine High School Basketball - Penquis Valley thwarts Piscataquis

The Penquis Valley Patriots (Milo, ME) basketball knocked off the visiting Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME), 47-33 in Wednesday's league test.
The Patriots (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Central (East Corinth, ME). The Red Devils go into the C North test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Central notched a victory over Searsport (Searsport, ME), 69-39, in a league test.
The Pirates now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Valley for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Piscataquis will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 66-56 league loss to Forest Hills (Jackman, ME). The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-3.
