The Western Christian Pioneers basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Willamina Bulldogs to 44 in the Pioneers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Pioneers now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blanchet Catholic for a 2A Tri-River contest on Friday, January 6. Western Christian will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 68-53 non-league win over Umatilla (Umatilla, OR). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-4.

The Bulldogs (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Salem Academy (Salem, OR). The Crusaders enter the 2A Tri-River contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Salem Academy triumphed over Crane (Crane, OR), 49-45, in a non-league contest.
