The Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY) basketball nipped the visiting Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY), 46-44 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Bulldogs (3-0) will now prepare for their test against Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY). The Wizards go into the non-league test with a 6-0 record. In their last test, Washingtonville got by Goshen Central (Goshen, NY), 53-26, in a non-league test.
The Middie Bears now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Our Lady of Lourdes for a non-league test on Friday, January 6. Middletown will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 67-60 non-league loss to Monroe-Woodbury (Central Valley, NY). The Warriors record now stands at 1-2.
