The Bellflower Buccaneers basketball team (Bellflower, CA), was overwhelmed 63-17 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting La Mirada Matadores (La Mirada, CA)

The Matadores now possess a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Norwalk for a San Gabriel Valley battle on Friday, January 6. La Mirada will battle a Lancers team coming off a 53-42 league loss to Gahr (Cerritos, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 10-8.

The Buccaneers (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against Firebaugh (Lynwood, CA). The Falcons come into the San Gabriel Valley battle with a 5-9 record. In their last battle, Firebaugh was overwhelmed by Palos Verdes (Palos Verdes Estates, CA), 52-12, in a non-league battle.
