Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Brawley Wildcats (Brawley, CA), 49-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Palo Verde Valley upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Yellow Jackets travel to Southwest EC (El Centro, CA) to play the Eagles in a Imperial Valley bout on Monday, January 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Southwest EC lost 57-22 in their recent non-league bout against Central (El Centro, CA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Cibola Raiders (Yuma, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Brawley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 46-37 non-league loss to McClintock (Tempe, AZ).
