Memorial Mustangs (Houston, TX) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Cypress Ridge Rams (Houston, TX), 76-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Memorial upgrades its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Jersey Village (Houston, TX) to play the Falcons in a 6A Region III District 17 bout on Saturday, January 7. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 10-9. Jersey Village won 42-40 in their recent league bout against Cypress Creek (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Rams play the Stratford Spartans (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 17 bout, on Saturday, January 7. Cypress Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 67-43 league win over Spring Woods (Houston, TX).
